The Indian rupee strengthened significantly on Tuesday, gaining 33 paise. This appreciation occurred as oil prices retreated and the Reserve Bank of India sold dollars. The rupee closed at 95.41, trading between 95.40 and 95.75 during the session. Oil prices fell more than three percent, influenced by US sanctions on Iran. Domestic markets will be closed Wednesday for a holiday.
