Major Asian stocks opened higher, before turning mixed, on Tuesday as investors bargain-hunted following sharp falls in the previous session on fears over an economic slowdown. MSCI’s index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan was trading 0.31 per cent lower.
At its second buyback auction of FY26, the RBI received bids worth Rs 53,031 crore against a notified Rs 26,000 crore, accepting 99% of it.
SBI Mutual Fund purchased a 3.6% stake in Asian Paints from Reliance Industries for Rs 7704 crore, marking one of India’s biggest bilateral block deals.
