No AGR relief, a higher proportion of telecom debt may get converted into equity: Balaji Subramanian

The Supreme Court has rejected the plea by telecom companies for re-computation of adjusted gross revenue (AGR), leaving no relief for major players like Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel. Vodafone Idea’s ability to complete its debt fundraising is crucial to maintaining its capex programme as well as preventing further subscriber loss.
