Reverse merger likely to improve profit of Gujarat Gas, stock up 11%

Before the merger, the Gujarat government had a controlling 55% stake in GSPC. GSPC, in turn, owned 37% of GSPL, which further held a 54% stake in Gujarat Gas. GSPC primarily focuses on gas trading and exploration, with gas trading contributing significantly to its operating profit. In the fiscal year 2024, GSPC’s gas trading volume reached 11 million metric standard cubic meters per day.
