Funds from Ireland, Luxembourg, Norway and Japan raise bets on Indian equities

The AUM of Ireland-domiciled funds rose 40% year-on-year to ₹3.32 lakh crore ($40 billion) at the end of December 2023, while the total FPI equity AUM expanded by 26% to ₹61.32 lakh crore ($737 billion). Consequently, the share of Ireland-based funds in Indian equities rose to 5.42% – a record-high level, according to the NSDL data.
