Agricultural products trade via e-NAM surges 41% in FY23

Agricultural products trade through the electronic-National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) surged 41% to 18.6 million tonnes in 2022-23 from 13.2 million tonnes in the previous financial year. “Several innovative products have started trading through these mandis,” said a senior official, who did not wish to be identified, adding that several products such as silk cocoons, saffron and bamboo are being sold on the platform.
