GAIL India shares tumble 5% despite Q1 net profit doubling to Rs 4,665 crore. Buy, sell or hold?

GAIL India shares fell 5% despite the Maharatna PSU reporting a near doubling of Q1 FY27 consolidated net profit to Rs 4,665 crore. While JM Financial attributed the earnings beat to one-off gains in gas trading, it retained its ‘Buy’ rating and raised the target price to Rs 210, citing strong medium-term earnings prospects.
