Broker earnings stay under pressure in Q1 as derivatives trading slows

Most listed brokers saw earnings pressure in the June quarter. Trading activity in equity derivatives slowed, and gold and silver rallies reversed. Motilal Oswal Financial Services revenue surged eighty-eight percent during this period. Angel One and Anand Rathi Share & Stock Brokers reported profit declines. Investor participation remained healthy, but trading volumes were volatile.
