SBI and Eternal were among the top gainers, while Tata Steel, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Titan, Bajaj Finserv, Tata Motors, and Bharti Airtel faced selling pressure. Overall, of 4,343 BSE-listed stocks, 2,424 advanced, 1,766 declined, and 153 remained unchanged.
