Sebi rolls out validated UPI handles to safeguard investors from cyber frauds

SEBI introduced “Validated UPI handles” and a “SEBI Check” facility to combat cyber fraud. A unified investor app and voluntary trading account freezing were also launched. These steps, with mandated fund upstreaming and finfluencer monitoring, enhance market integrity and investor protection.
