RBI buyback sees strong demand with bids doubling notified amount

At its second buyback auction of FY26, the RBI received bids worth Rs 53,031 crore against a notified Rs 26,000 crore, accepting 99% of it. The move aids liquidity and government debt management amid strong demand from banks.
