Sensex fell over 100 points while the Nifty50 managed to hold on to 22,200 levels. Sectorally, buying was seen in the public sector, power, and capital goods stocks while banks, auto and FMCG stocks faced selling pressure.
The stock continued to remain the most valued listed company in the country despite the decline.
Domestic equities ended flat on Friday as MPC matched market expectations, while supportive measures announced by the RBI Governor helped strengthen the rupee.
