Tata Group-owned Air India refinanced short-term loans with SBI and Bank of Baroda for three years. The Rs 19,000 crore term loan will finance working capital needs and aircraft fleet upgrades. The conglomerate’s strong credit profile enabled access to funding for the national carrier.
ICICI gives Novel Jewels Rs 500 crore to start up
ICICI Bank has sanctioned Rs 500 crore debt facilities to Aditya Birla group’s Novel Jewels for its upcoming jewellery retail stores in the next quarter. The promoter companies infused ₹290 crore in the company last year. ICICI Bank sanctioned ₹450 crore as a working capital loan and ₹50 crore as a term loan.
Shriram Finance to replace UPL in Nifty from March 28
According to the exchange’s communication on Wednesday, Shriram Finance was included due to the highest six-month average free-float market capitalisation within the eligible universe.
Fund buying drives pricey small- & mid-caps higher
The Nifty is trading at a PE of 22.95 its trailing 12-month earnings, whereas the Nifty Midcap100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 indices are trading at PE of 36 and 27 times, respectively.
