Unemployment rate declines, female labour force participation rises in Q1FY24: MoSPI

The Indian economy saw strong growth in the first quarter, leading to improved employment numbers. The unemployment rate in urban areas decreased to 6.6% in the April-June quarter, compared to 6.8% in the previous quarter. Female labor force participation also increased to 23.2% in urban areas.
