Govt to link 28 more mandis to eNAM: Agri Secretary

The Indian government has announced plans to integrate 28 new wholesale mandis, or market yards, with the online trading platform eNAM. This will bring the total number of integrated mandis to 1,389. The Agriculture Secretary, Manoj Ahuja, highlighted the importance of providing key information to stakeholders in order to remove information asymmetry. He also emphasized the need to make the entire value chain more efficient and reduce wastage.
