CBIC mandates timebound digital records of arrests

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), in a letter dated March 1 to all its zonal offices, has directed uploading of all details related to arrests, seizures and prosecution on the DRI (Directorate of Revenue Intelligence) Intelligence Gathering and Investigation Tool (DIGIT). The tool is hosted on the CBIC website.

India’s forex reserves rise to $562.40 billion as of March 3

The reserves were at $562.4 billion, Reserve Bank of India data showed. The accretion was largely on account of overseas investment inflows into Adani group of companies. American firm GQG Partners pumped in $1.9 billion into four Adani companies.
