When seen on a year-to-date basis, Nifty has gained 1.66 per cent. On the other hand, the Dow Jones is down by over 15 per cent, FTSE100 2 per cent, Shanghai index 14 per cent and Hang Seng nearly 21 per cent.
Indian markets fell on Friday amid profit booking in IT and healthcare stocks but headline indices still managed to end with near 4% weekly gains.
India’s stock market rebounded strongly, with Nifty crossing 25,000, boosted by geopolitical peace and the US-China trade deal. Analysts see further gains but advise selectivity.
